Exfoliate your skin with a homemade sugar scrub

We all like to pamper ourselves. What we don’t like though, is spending tonnes of money on products. This is where homemade sugar scrubs come in as wallet saviours. The ‘recipes’ I’m sharing here are of sugar scrubs for lips, hands, and feet. And all it’s going to take is a 5 minute trip to your kitchen, a few ingredients, and glass or plastic jars.

Sugar and honey lip scrub

Ingredients:

Petroleum jelly – 1 tsp

Honey – 1 tsp

Sugar – 1 tsp

Mix all the above ingredients in a bowl till they become a paste. If you want to add some colour, you can add a few drops of food colouring or just take a bit of any of your lip gloss and mix. Refrigerate for 5 minutes if you think the constitution is runny.

Apply every night and after exfoliating rub it off gently with a towel or soft tissue. Put some lip gloss and go to sleep.

Coffee hands & feet scrub

Ingredients:

Brown sugar – 2 tsp

Coffee – 2 tsp

Coconut oil – 2-3 tsp

I hadn’t added coconut oil when I took this picture

Sift coffee and brown sugar and then add coconut oil and mix. My scrub is still a bit crumbly, as you can see in the picture. You can add a bit more oil or petroleum jelly. I didn’t because it would become too sticky and messy. I added a few drops of Japanese Cherry Blossom fragrance oil because the coffee scent was too overwhelming, but that is optional. Refrigerate for a few minutes.
